Cal. 41, Date 1856.  Rare piece history – The Volcanic Arms Co. went bankrupt in 1857 and was bought out by Winchester. Winchester would continue to produce the Volcanic pistol and in 1860 using the mechanism of the Volcanic pistol developed and put into the market the Henry rifle and later developed and put into the market the Winchester lever action rifles.  SN#697
